Internal Wall Framing Done Properly
Good framing is invisible — straight studs, plumb plates, square corners, and noggins exactly where the plasterer needs them. We frame to AS 1684 (Residential Timber Framed Construction), pre-drill every fixing point and check every wall with a 1.8m level before sheeting.

Skirting Profiles & Materials Explained
Choosing the right skirting profile sets the tone of a room. Common Queensland profiles include Colonial (heritage Queenslanders), Lambs Tongue (1950s–80s post-war), Splayed (modern minimalist) and Bullnose (Federation). MDF is cost-effective for painted finishes; Pine for staining; Hardwood for high-traffic areas and matched-timber heritage work.

Fixing Damaged Skirting & Architraves
Knock marks, water swelling, termite damage and pet damage are the four main reasons skirting fails. Replacement is usually quicker and cleaner than patching — we cut neat scarf joins, match the existing profile and gun-fix ready for filling and paint.
